Job Title: Marketing Intern

Location: Miami, FL / [Mostly Remote Position ; May require intern to attend 2-3 events with advanced notice]

Internship Duration: January 6 2025 - May 2, 2025

 

About Us:

Saint Tutoring is a dynamic tutoring company dedicated to academic excellence and personalized learning. Black Girls Who Math (BGWM), our nonprofit arm, empowers and unites Black women and girls in math and math-related fields through mentorship, academic support, and community-building.

We are looking for a creative and organized Marketing Intern to manage our social media presence for both the for-profit and nonprofit arms of the business. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management, marketing strategy, and nonprofit communications while contributing to meaningful work.

Requirements/Eligibility:

  • Must be a college student or recent graduate.

  • Familiarity with marketing and social media platforms.

  • Outstanding multitasking abilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

*Preferred but not required: 

  • Successfully completed 2 marketing courses at the undergraduate level.

  • Graphic design capabilities

  • Familiarity with Canva


 

​Duties and Responsibilities

Time commitment: This is a stipend position that will require 5-10 hours of commitment per week.

​

General Social Media Management (Both Brands)

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive monthly social media content calendar.

  • Monitor and manage social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube).

  • Track and report social media performance metrics.

  • Engage with audiences by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.

 

Saint Tutoring

  • Create and post engaging social media content, including graphics, photos, and videos.

  • Assist with planning and executing marketing campaigns for products and services.

  • Research and suggest potential collaborators/partnerships

  • Brainstorm and implement strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement.

  • Draft and manage the monthly newsletter, including content creation, formatting, and distribution.

Black Girls Who Math

  • Schedule content for BGWM’s social media platforms using pre-created assets from our Comms/Outreach Committee 

    • Intern can opt to create content for BGWM as well but it is not required. The intern is only responsible for scheduling posts/creating a calendar.

  • Join BGWM Comms/Outreach Committee meetings 2x per month (virtually) - Tuesdays 6:30-7:30PM.

Compensation and Benefits

  1. Stipend: A stipend of up to $500 will be provided at the end of the semester upon successful completion of the internship and a performance evaluation.

  2. Professional Development Package:

    • Resume review and portfolio creation.

    • Professional headshots (provided at no cost to the intern).

    • Letter of recommendation or reference upon successful completion of the internship.

    • Marketing Certification: The company will cover the cost of a marketing-related certification of the intern's choice (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot Social Media Certification, or similar), subject to approval.

  3. Networking Opportunities: Access to professionals in education, nonprofit leadership, and STEM fields.

  4. Flexible Work Schedule: Ideal for students balancing coursework and extracurricular commitments. Create your own schedule outside of weekly Saint Tutoring meetings (1 hour/week) and BGWM committee meetings (only 2x/month).
